Just received news that Cadillac has had its largest sales increase since 1976. This doesn’t really surprise me as Cadillac’s ATS is an entry level model. Something Cadillac has needed for years. I can only see the sales going higher as the Escalade gets a redesign and the CTS-V sport hits the dealers later this year. Then you have the ELR coming after that. It is very exciting times for a Cadillac fan like myself.
Below is the press release.
DETROIT – Cadillac’s year-to-date sales increase of 38 percent will be the brand’s largest since 1976, making the 110-year old brand the fastest growing major automotive brand in the U.S.
When sales are officially reported later today, Cadillac’s May increase of 40 percent will mark its 12th consecutive month of sales growth.
“Cadillac is back.” said Bob Ferguson, vice president, Global Cadillac. “Our growth is product-driven, new luxury vehicles with dramatic design and performance drawing new customers to showrooms.”
The ATS sport sedan, 2013 North American Car of the Year and Esquire Car of the Year, has been instrumental in attracting new buyers. Roughly 70 percent of ATS buyers are choosing their first Cadillac. The XTS luxury sedan, introduced in the summer of 2012, had its best retail sales in May. Cadillac’s total sedan portfolio is up 122 percent so far in 2013.
Cadillac’s iconic Escalade will report its best May sales since 2008.
Cadillac Video From New York Auto Show
I just realized that I didn’t put some of the Cadillac videos up that I shot from the NY auto show. If you are subscribed to our YouTube channel odds are you have already seen them. The first video has over 13,000 views which I am very proud of. You will get to hear all the details of the CTS-V Sports edition from the very knowledgeable Cadillac spokesperson.
The second video was just me walking around the 2014 Cadillac CTS-V Sport.
This is the red one that was a really sharp color.
